How does Simplify Storage work?

Our on demand storage service: 

  1. We provide you with plastic bins and boxes to pack your loose items.
  2. We pick up your bins, boxes, items and furniture.
  3. We store everything in our storage facilities.
  4. Request any item back at the touch of a button and get them delivered back wherever you need them.

How can I see my stored items online?

To access your inventory,

How can I request my items back?

How can I change or cancel my reservation?

You can change or cancel your reservation by logging into your account, calling us at (888) 522-2330, emailing us at info@simplifystorage.com, or chatting with us on our website.

How much time do I have to pack up my belongings after I receive my bins and boxes?

You have up to two weeks to pack your belongings into the bins and boxes.

Do you provide packing supplies?

  We can provide bins, wardrobe boxes, and/or banker's boxes.

Do you provide wrapping supplies?

  We only provide packing supplies if you purchased our professional bubble wrapping service.

How quickly can I have access to my items in storage?

Normal delivery times are between 24-48 hours from time of request, but if you need quicker service we can easily accommodate an expedited delivery for an additional fee of $50.

Storing with us

How will I know if my belongings are secure?

Your belongings will be stored in climate controlled and 24/7 monitored storage facilities.  We deliver cable ties with your boxes when we drop them off. Once you are finished packing, you will lock each of your boxes.  Each lock has a number unique to your box for your security and you can record that number with your items inventory in your account.  We will never open your boxes without your express permission unless we need to for legal reasons.

Are there any items you won't store?

Yes, we are unable to store any perishable items, breakables, liquids, explosive devices, artwork, mirrors, jewelry, glass, fine art, weapons, or any illegal substances or illegal drugs.

How do I know how many bin/boxes I need?

Always order more than what you think you need. You will only be billed for the boxes you actually end up using.

If you have packed your containers and still need more, just give us a call or order online and we'll send you more empty containers for you to store your items.

Where are my belongings stored?

We store all items in our state-of-the-art secured storage facilities.  The facilities are all climate controlled, monitored 24/7, pest free and equipped with the latest in fire-prevention and sprinkler systems.

Are there weight limits on my storage?

Boxes or items cannot exceed 50lbs per box or item.

Do you insure my belongings?

We provide insurance coverage, if required. Please contact us for details and costs.

Deliveries & Collections

How do I schedule a return delivery of my items?

Simple. Just log in to your account and select the items you need in the Items in storage' section and click on 'schedule delivery.

What is your coverage area?

We deliver to anywhere in the NYC metro area.

Can I get my belongings delivered to a different address?

Absolutely. Just enter the address you need the items sent back to and we'll deliver them there. If you want them to be delivered to another person, please enter their information. For the delivery, make sure they have a photo ID on them so that we can ensure that your belongings are being delivered to the correct person.

What happens if I cancel or change a collection or delivery or if I am not available to receive it?

If you reschedule or cancel a collection or delivery after 12:00 the day before your scheduled appointment, we will be required to charge you $50. This same fee applies for any failed deliveries or collections. As a result, it is always best to contact us as soon as possible so that we can do our best to avoid having to charge you unnecessarily.

What happens to my belongings if I am late making a payment?

If you know in advance that you may be late making a payment for any reason, please contact us so that we can work with you. If you don't reach out to us, you will be charged a penalty fee of $15 for late or missed payments. In extreme cases, if you have not paid we may not return your belongings or take further action until your account balance is settled. 

What are the minimum requirements?

We only require our customers to store a minimum of 5 boxes or $30 per month (you can have less boxes, but you will still be charged $30 per month)

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards as payment. You will have to provide your credit card information at the time you place your order. Your account will then be automatically charged on a monthly basis.

How do I update my billing or contact information?

What happens if I change my mind and send back all my boxes empty without storing anything?

A cancellation fee will apply: 1 month of storage.
